Looks I Love; one for the boys

And chicks who like to dress like boys. Am a little partial to the mix of tartan here, not to mention that leather rucksack. I got this bad boy for Xmas so am getting in the ruck…

Pointy shoes. Making arse kicking awesome

I’m not condoning white stilettos but this is a pretty ace look. And, in general I’ve fallen in love with a good point of late. So slick, so sharp so bad-ass beautiful. What do you reckon, chav or chic?!

And now to the detail, you know I’m a divil for the deets!

White wash

White can be off-putting because of the bridal connotations but it’s just so beautiful…

Head to toe, with black accents, giant glasses or a classic hat, or paired with a scruffy marl sweater.

Grab your coat, you’ve pulled…

Yes, you read the title right. I am the ultimate in cheesey lines. But coats deserve some silliness, they’re amazing! I have an obsession with them and regardless of the weather (or maybe because of it) I just seem to be drawn to them. Here’s the list! A mens full-length Burberry mac that I found in Gorta for 12 quid, a Marc by Marc Jacobs duvet dreamboat that I splurged on last Christmas, a khaki military one that everyone thinks is designer but cost €250 in Massimo Dutti (Dundrum), a classic black Chloe one that I nabbed in a sample sale, a chocolate sheepskin from Shutterbug that I’m currently loving and a masculine oversized black wool one that I got from COS (thanks guys!)… So you get the drift, I’ve got penchant for outerwear, which doesn’t bode well for city centre apartment storage… Anyway above is some coat inspiration for you, if unlike me, you actually need some. Add a leather jacket and classic sheepskin and you coat wardrobe is sorted. For this year!

Flouro flashing…
*predictable alliteration is my dirty habit

Obsessing over everything neon recently. Pink nails, yellow socks, orange cut-out panels. Everything. Builders high-viz jackets, traffic cones, bicycle reflectors. Everything. Maybe it’s the uneasiness of flouro tones, the fact that you just can’t miss them or avoid them or ignore them. It takes balls to wear them because people will look at you. They are not to be worn when you’re hungover or sad or wearing sunnies in the hope that no one will talk to you for longer than is necessary! Neon should be kept for days when you feel wonderful and want to invite people to share it…

Neon nails…

I love a bit of neon action as you well know and nails are the ideal way to jump on to this trend. I’ve got a matte neon pink that I’m currently obsessed with, bought in New York, cheap as chips, but can’t remember the brand. Anyway, they’re all around at the moment so you’ll find you as soon as you open your little peepers. Which do you like best?!

Looks I love; minty green dipped locks

This look is beyond perfect… Sometimes I wish my hair was blonde so that I could colour it pink or lilac or the most edible shade of green. It seems like to dramatic a transformation from my natural colour and to be honest I’m too lazy for the endless maintenance involved. I’ve never dyed my locks and am a little scared! I am, however, considering dipping the ends of mine at the mo. Any suggestions or inspiration pics would be very much appreciated!

Looks I Love

On the street. In Paris. This is the most un-Paris outfit I’ve ever seen and I love her even more for that!

Gold leaf lovlies

I’ve been obsessed with gold forever. I tend not to wear silver unless it’s with gold and am from the more is more school where it’s concerned. So I was happy to see that it’s being used in lots of different ways for SS12. I got my awesome friend Maurice Flynn to use it in a models hair on a shoot this week and am very excited for you to see the results! He’s been very busy working with Herseshons on shows all through LFW (check out Holly Fulton, Louise Gray, DAKS and MORE for some of his handy work). Anyway, this is tough stuff to work with but the result is beautiful. It requires a light touch, patience and an acceptance that it will look wonderfully different on everyone. You can get it in stationary stores. I wore some under my eye for the day and was pleasantly surprised every time I clocked it because I felt fairy-like (this is very rare).

I collected these images throughout the week so please shout if you know where they’re from x
