Looks I Love…

Texture overload with a ‘smathering’ of print thrown into the mix…This is great way to add personality to your style and its pretty easy to achieve. If your a little daunted start with classic stripes and leopard fur-my favourite combo!

Outfit post: daisy coat and cycling shorts you heard me right!

Cycling shorts are very comfortable, honest. I usually wear them to the gym but throw on a bit of flower power with them and all is right with the world…

The ‘coat’ is actually a dress from River Island’s AW collection worn open and backwards (obviously), the shorts are TK Maxx sporty section, cork awesomeness in the form of shoes from ACNE and cashmere mix vest from Topshop Boutique. Jewellery-leopard cuff MoMuse @Bow Boutique, stud bracelet from Tosphop, ring by Corona @Shabby Chic Boutique. Sunnies from Topshop!

Anything else? What do you think? Cycling shorts or bust!?

Prada Resort A/W 2011..

Loud floral prints, polka dots askew, tonnes of texture, twisted classics and impossibly considered styling to tie strong trends together. Design details include; double peter pan collars, pleated skirts, sheer laces,  leather and studs. Colours include ice-creamy shades and anything that looks like it should be licked. Its feminine with a hint of attitude and a nod to seductive off-ness.

Indiependence… You know you want to!

Do you fancy seeing any or all of the acts below? Thought so….

Well all of these and more will be setting up camp in a dry (fingers crossed) field in Cork this weekend. I love that there’s cool old skool acts beside todays success stories, comedy acts and much more. I know you want to win 2 fat weekend tickets but how would you feel about getting your very own swanky wheels from AVIS to drive to and from said festival?! Yep, I hear you. It’s pretty rad. Leave a comment below once you’ve read the jargon and you could be heading on the roadtrip of the Summer!!

Avis Ireland are giving one lucky reader free rental of the Nissan Qasqui to travel to Indiependence this August Bank Holiday weekend. It’s the perfect prize for any of you who drive but don’t own a car or for those of you who just fancy a newer, roomier car to rock up to the festival with! Best of all, you won’t have to worry about getting the bus to Indiependence and will have plenty of room to  pack camping gear and gladrags!

Competition winner must have full licence for at least four  years. Standard Avis terms and conditions apply.

Playing dress up with John Lewis

Last week I was in London for the John Lewis press event where we were put up in the awesome Sanderson Hotel, where Cheryl Cole/Tweedy straddled her scumbag ex-husband a couple of weeks ago when she held her birthday there. Thankfully there was no sign of them but there were loads of great Eurpoean bloggers and some Irish too (Rosemary, Annemarie, Liz & Aideen). The saloon show was cool and I even got to share ‘Breakfast Martini’s’ with designer, Tracey Boyd! Then we hit the John Lewis store on Oxford St and played dress up for a few hours… Below are the results. I bought the lot!

Skinny pink jeans which I’ve been after for donkeys, Reiss blouse that I wasn’t prepared to pay full price for but nabbed on the sale rail AND Terry de Havilland shoes that are ACE!

John Lewis now delivers to Ireland so check them out here for cool, exclusive collaborations and more.
